Description
Dragon Bane is a big two handed sword Made for dispatching wayward Dragons. It is a true Hero sword.
The blade is long and strong and pointy. The guard is broad and the dragon Tail Pommel with Silver and Garnet acts as a counterweight to the Mighty blade.
The blade is forged from 360 layer random pattern damascus (made by myself) and the pattern has been laddered to get an undulating pattern down the Fuller, the blade has a wonderful chatoyance to it the pattern changes as you look at in in the light.
The blade pattern is developed by the individual hammer blows that went into making it. The damascus blade and guard and Pommel are all forged to shape before being ground and finished. The blade is diamond ground around the fuller and transitions to a Strong thick lenticular diamond section grind towards the tip. Strong enough and sharp enough to get between a dragons scales.. The handle is a full zweihander and allows for a forward and back grip. . The handle is a wood core, with twine bindings and then a leather wrap. The thick tang passes all the way through the handle and Dragon tail pommel.
The guard and handle and pommel are adorned with silver and Garnets.
With a weight of 6lb 14oz it is a beast of a sword, for a beast of a foe. The point of balance 2″ forward of the guard making it a nimble beast all considered. The dance of the dragon slayer has ever been fast and furious undertaking not for the faint hearted.
