Here we have a single handed knights sword of an Oakeshott type XI. I would consider this to be a typical Norman sword but it merges with the end of the Viking age and is around for a few hundred years past that. The blade is forge from EN45 carbon steel and has a long slim fuller down the blade to keep the weight down.
The blade has been forged to dimension and then ground, the guard and pommel are made from silicone bronze and are forged to shape and then hand ground. The handle is a wood core with twine bindings and then a leather wrap.
I would be happy to make a sheath for this sword please enquire for a price.
