Description

This is made using the same techniques that are used in the making of legendary Saxon and Viking swords. This knife fits somewhere between a knife and a sword being a very large seax but is weighted well and feels surprisingly lively in the hand.

This blade is a 5 bar construction. First a layer of wrought iron at the spine and 3 layers of twisted steel and an edge of 700 layer random pattern damascus. This is made using the same techniques that are used in the making of legendary Saxon and Viking swords.

The blade is tapered from the Damascus steel ferrule towards the tip. There is a damascus steel plate riveted on as a but cap. The sheath is oak-tanned leather and copper fittings.
